Feeding Tube

Last weekend Vincent wasn't eating very well and I took him into the doctors yesterday and he had lost one pound in a little over two weeks. The Doctor said he thought we needed to get Vincent a feeding tube that goes from the nose into the stomach. Today a nurse came to our house to put it in for us. Vincent was not happy at all. He cried so much that his little eyes were so puffy (you can kind of tell a little in these pictures) I felt so bad for him. All he wanted was for me to hold him and walk around with him. We went for a nice long walk outside and enjoyed the warm weather. He finally did fall asleep in his swing but when he work up I tried to nurse him and give him a bottle and he wouldn't take either so I had to feed him though the tube. I'm glad it's there so he isn't starving but I tell you what, he's a lot happier starving then he is getting fed though this tube. I hope it gets easier or he starts eating again so he doesn't need it for to much longer.

Here is a picture of Vincent earlier today when he was still happy and tube free. We just got back from working in the garden. He LOVES to be outside!

oh man, poor little guy! At least he wont be starving like you said. Does this mean you have to buy the way expensive formula that whitney had?

oh what sad pictures! I feel so bad for the little guy. I'm glad the doctors are taking care of him, but I'm sure it is hard to see him so sad. I hope he starts eating better soon!

I'm so sorry. It can't be easy watching your little dud have to go through that. Those pictures broke my heart. I hope that he is able to eat again soon.
