Happy Birthday Whitney

Today Whitney would be turning 3. I can't even believe how fast time goes. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't think about her. I feel so blessed to have the gospel in my live and to know that we can be a family forever and that I will be able to see my little girl again.

Because it is Whitney's special day I thought I would tell you a few things about her.

1. Because Whitney couldn't see she was always feeling things with her hands. She had this cute little monkey that was really soft that she loved so much and would always hold.

2. One day at when Travis was at school I was waiting for him out side of his class and I had Whitney all decked out it this cute little pink out fit and with a bow in her hair and this old guy came up to me and asked how old HE was....and how handsome HE was....just because they don't have hair doesn't mean they are always boys....and why would I dress my boy in pink?

3. Whitney always made these funny noises with her mouth. (usually she was the loudest when we were somewhere that she needed to be the quietest)

4. Whitney never grew out of size 1 diapers. That was a big money saver because the bigger size the less you get for your money.

5. Whitney used the money we saved in diapers and spent it on her $30 (a can) formula and went through 1 1/2-2 cans a week. And she still never got to be 12 pounds.

6. The first night Whitney slept through the night was when we went to go look at a job in Florida. I told Travis he had to take the job no matter what. She was 9 months old.

7. Whitney loved to go on walks. We would take her on a walk almost ever evening to get her to settle down before bed time. She was always so relaxed afterward.

8. I have no idea if Whitney ever slept at nights (once we moved to Florida). There were so many times that I would go and check on her feeding machine at night and I thought she was asleep because she wasn't making any noises but then I would go into her room and she would be laying there wide a wake (usually holding her monkey).

9. Whitney was the 3rd grandchild on Travis's side and the 11Th on my side.

10. Whitney touched so many lives and was a great blessing to so many people and will never be forgotten.

We will always love and miss her.

I hope you don't mind me commenting on your blog. A mutual friend of ours (Malia) gave me your blog address. My three month old son Gavin passed away almost a year ago, so I know how much birthdays mean. I hope you can feel her sweet spirit today. She is so beautiful. Happy birthday Whitney!

I have never forgotten what a beautiful baby Whitney was. Her precious face was so dainty with perfect little features. I love the picture of her with her monkey. Time does fly so quickly and I am sure you will be amazed at how fast it will seem to go by until you get to be with that sweet girl again. Thanks for sharing her birthday with us.
