My garden

Last week I went to a little garden class and got some good tips on how to start a garden. I have tried to plant vegetables and flowers before and haven't had much luck with anything, but this year will be different (at least I hope it will be). Today I thought I would do some weeding. I don't really have a big garden but the few little areas that I do call a garden were covered in weeds. One area is really shaded because of the trees around it. (This picture is post weeding. I had weeds that were over a foot tall.) Little did I know last year that the stuff I planted there needed more sun Then I have a spot for my strawberries. Last year I got some great strawberries (all thanks to my mother-in-law for getting the grow box together and the strawberries planted) so I hope they grow well again this year. And then I have a few sections in my front yard but I'm only going to worry about one section at a time. This is the first section I will work on this year and I think I will plant some flowers to make the front yard look nicer. So here are some of my goals this year with my garden.
1. To be able to grow some flowers as big and beautiful as this weed.
2. To have some type of vegetable grow as fast as this weed.
3. And last but not least to grow something more edible than these mushrooms.

Hey, at least you are trying. I have ZERO motivation. But your brother seems to like to do it for me anyway. :) Can't wait to see you next month!

I wish you luck on gardening better than growing big weeds! I expect to see progress in June! :)

I look forward to pictures that say a thousand words like the ones you posted in this entry. =D And you are blessed to have such an AWESOME mother-in-law!! Love you!!

Lilly loves Dandelions! Good luck! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm going to get my garden growing this year or not!

Good Luck Ree! I've told myself I'm going to garden better for 2 years now ... ;D
I really would try harder but Sami just loves to pick my big beautiful yellow flowers (dandelions) and put them in vases.
